The SDS is one of the most vibrant societies at Campus Law Centre (CLC). It has four sub-groups viz. i) Seminar Group, ii) Discussion Group, iii) Debate Group and newly added iv) Research Group. The aim of SDS is to organize seminars, discussions, debates and public lectures in a bid to foster widespread discussion of topical issues. In the previous academic year, a large number of students as part of the discussion series critically assessed important judicial decisions and the latest statutes as well as he pending Bills in parliament on various subject such as Constitutional law, Criminal law, International law, competition law, Surrogacy law and so on.
The National Debating Panel which consisted of finest debaters at CLC went on to win laurels at a number of debates conducted in the university and in other states namely, the Law School Jammu University, Indian Institute of Legal Studies University of North Bengal, Amity Law School, Amity University, St. Zaviors college, The Law School, IP University and many other colleges forming part of our own University of Delhi and particularly it is a matter of great pride to say that our teams won various laurels to the CLC adding glory to our centre.
SDS also organized various Seminars and Workshops namely workshop on Saving Road Accident Victims in association with Save Life Foundation India. We also invited eminent jurists from academic and corporate world for some thought provoking sessions and the response of the students was always overwhelming. This year too we are expecting more enthusiastic response from you so that we can contribute to the success and pride of the Campus Law Centre.
